Hideyoshi

This is a "Nishiki-e", or multi-colored woodblock print, entitled "
Hideyoshi" by the artist Tsukioka Yoshitoshi. It is one of the artworks from the print series "Tsuki Hyaku Sugata" ("One Hundred Aspects of the Moon", from the National Diet Library archives).
This print shows Toyotomi Hideyoshi wearing his famous helmet called "Barin Ushiro Date Tsuki Kabuto," blowing a "Horagai" (conch shell trumpet). The Toyotomi family crest is drawn on his "Kote" bracer as well as his sword.
